On Bare Metal & Virtual Machines

MigratoryData can be installed on bare metal servers and virtual machines. Written in Java, MigratoryData runs on all major operating systems, including Linux, MacOS, Windows, and potentially on any other operating system with support for OpenJDK Java Runtime Environment (JRE). For production deployments, the recommended operating system is Linux.

MigratoryData comes with installers for RPM-based Linux distributions (RedHat, CentOS, Amazon Linux) and DEB-based Linux distributions (Debian, Ubuntu). A platform-independent tarball is also available for installations on Linux, Windows, and MacOS.

MigratoryData provides a Docker image that you can quickly use for evaluation, testing, and development. For production, it is recommended to deploy the Docker image with Kubernetes (see below) as a cluster of one or more MigratoryData instances.
