1) Each user of your application will use a single persistent connection to Migratory Push Server. If your application is a web app, then depending on the user's web browser version, a secondary transient operation connection may be opened to Migratory Push Server, but such connection will be closed immediately after an operation such as subscribe or unsubscribe is sent to Migratory Push Server. In this way, the number of concurrent connections to Migratory Push Server will always be close, if not equal, to the number of users your application will have simultaneously.
Note — There is no limit on the total number of registered users of your application. There is only a limit on the number of concurrent connections opened by your users to Migratory Push Server, except for the Migratory-ULTD edition which has not such a limitation.
2) Subscribed subjects are counted only in the push server. If for example 100 clients subscribe to the same subject, then this will count 1 concurrent subject. A subject pattern (also known as a wildcard subject) is equivalent to 10 normal subjects from the licensing perspective.
Note — There is no limit on the total number of subjects used by your application. There is only a limit on the maximum number of concurrent subjects subscribed in Migratory Push Server, except for the Migratory-ULTD edition which has not such a limitation.
3) To benefit from features such as load balancing, fault-tolerance, and guaranteed message delivery at least two instances of Migratory Push Server are required. Because Migratory Push Server is licensed on a per-instance basis, you should purchase at least two licenses to benefit from such features.
